There are a lot of ways to make money on the internet, I will only discuss at length the one that I know works best and can easily be setup.
For the sake of this post, let me mention a few ways you can make money online before going into what I know works best.

ü  Forex trading
ü  E-commerce stores
ü  Social media marking
ü  Online survey
ü  Website design and building
ü  Selling services online
ü  Web hosting
ü  Blogging, etc.

I will be discussing blogging, the importance and benefits. But first of all, what is a blog?
A blog is a discussion or informational website published on the World Wide Web consisting of discrete, often informal diary-style text entries (“Post”).
Posts are typically displayed in reverse chronological order, so that the most recent post appears first, at the top of the web page.
There are so many reasons why blogging is important, below are just a few points worth noting.

·         YOU OWN IT: Having a blog gives you full control on the content and the blog itself. You set the terms of service and no one can change how it works. Other social media set their terms of service and can change their settings at any time. But with blogging, you’re in charge, you own your own space. That’s what you can get with blogging.
·         SEARCH: Whether you are blogging for your organization or as an affiliate, marketing products for other companies, you want people to find your organization or products. Search engine traffic is huge, so you would want to take advantage of it either by hiring a search engine optimization (SEO) expert and pay lots of money or you could blog.
Blogging helps you create lots of content filled with relevant keywords which will generate incoming links, the two keys of (SEO) that rarely change.

·         PERSONALITY: People want to connect with you. They won’t connect with a nameless, faceless organization. Blogging is a way to have a voice. It can give an organization personality. It’s a way to be transparent and build community.
It gives you the opportunity to relate with your list (prospects) on a more personal ground.

You can blog to introduce your organization to the world. Telling them what your organization is all about, provide updates on your organization’s activities’ and also provide a way for people to follow your organization.
Or you could,
Become an affiliate marketer, create a blog and market other people’s products for a commission.

Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s marketing efforts.

You can join one or more affiliate programs and receive commissions for visitors or customers you send to them, or by referring other affiliates and receive a percentage from their own marketing efforts.

Blogging provides you with the opportunity to create income on a daily basis. You can create a blog with the different blogging platforms by following some steps, or hire a professional to do it for you.
  • WordPress
  •  Blogger
These are the most popular (CMS) blogging platforms used by most bloggers. Below are the best affiliate programs that any blogger in Nigeria can register with and make money from.

ü  Adsene
ü  AdNow
ü  Infolinks
ü Ads
ü  CJ (commission conjunction)
ü  Propeller Ads
ü  Amazon affiliates

Just to mention a few of them.

There are more out there, but I just pick a hand full of them that I believe are paying high commission to their affiliates and on time. Some of them pay weekly straight to your local bank account.

You can also learn how to write content for your blog. There are lots of materials out there that you can buy and learn how to write content for your blog. Or better still, you can HIRE someone to write for you or buy written content to use on your blog.
Blogging is one of the best ways of making money online for anyone who wants a second source of income or wants to be free from the normal 7am – 5pm work.
You can learn how to blog, and with time become an expert and maybe turn it into a full-time business, blogging and teaching others to blog.
